What are the legal requirements to teach a learner driver?

Obviously the vehicle must be insured for the learner driver. Above that the driving supervisor must be 21 years old or older and have held a full driving licence for that specific car whether it is automatic or manual.

Display L plates (or D plates if in Wales)

Be positive when teaching to drive. Do not shout unless it is a real emergency. Consider buying an additional mirror. Never contradict the professional driving instructor's advice.
