Which insurance companies offer the cheapest insurance?
This is a question that will have a different answer for different people.
Insurance companies calculate rates on many different criteria.
Firstly they will use statistical analysis of the age, occupation, location, type of car, level of cover required, excess, convictions, accidents and many other factors.
Companies may also offer you discounts for your no claims bonus.
From month to month an insurance company will change its rates and acceptance criteria. Even an insurance company who have been very expensive in the past may be the best for you a year later.
An example would be a company who might charge a 40% load on your premium for having a speeding conviction. A year later they might have changed their underwriting rule or your conviction might now be old enough for them to ignore. Then they might be the cheapest company.
Put simply the only good advice is to shop around and not take it personally when a company cannot help you.
It is impossible even for companies who specialise to always offer the lowest premiums.
