Car insurance boost for women with need for speed
Women driving high performance cars can still benefit from cheaper car insurance, according to a leading insurance intermediary.
Hyperformance found that more and more women were buying high performance cars.
The specialist insurer also found that at the same time, racy women drivers were still benefiting from cheaper car insurance.
"For years we have associated high performance with men and thought it was a 'boys and their toys' thing, but it seems the girls now want top performance from their men and their motors as well," explained Hyperformance sales and marketing director, Steve McPherson.
"Fortunately they are in a good position: insurance rates for women are almost always cheaper than those levied against male drivers and this extends through to the more high performance vehicles as well," he added.
