Car insurance message not getting through to young drivers
Many young drivers are failing to head warnings about the importance of getting adequate car insurance.
Driving without insurance is against the law, but the number of drivers without cover is a growing problem for the industry and the government.
A recent survey revealed that 13 per cent of young drivers thought driving without insurance was okay and that it didn't harm anyone.
However, research has shown that uninsured drivers add around £30 to the cost of every car insurance policy.
The RAC/Max Power study revealed that 75 per cent of young drivers new someone who had driven without insurance.
