Car insurance providers should court young drivers
Car insurance providers should do more to attract young drivers, according to a leading motoring group.
The RAC Foundation has called on the insurance industry to do more to help reduce the number of young people driving without insurance.
The call follows research that revealed up to one third of young drivers had driven without insurance.
"The RAC Foundation would like to see more competition in the insurance business with more effort from some companies to attract young drivers," the RAC said.
"A number of companies refuse to insure young drivers despite the fact that these drivers will become their future customers."
