RAC aims to crack down on dangers among young drivers
The RAC has focussed attention on young drivers and the need for safety among motorists.
The insurer says that it's important that potential dangers such as drink driving or a lack of insurance cover are tackled.
It has commissioned a number of television adverts to promote the issue and is seeking help from the government on the matter.
Edmund King, executive director of the RAC Foundation said that it was important that progress was made in tackling the number of young drivers killed in road accidents in Northern Ireland over the past three years.
More than 25 per cent of those asked said they had endangered others or themselves through the use of illegal drugs every single week in the region.
