RoadSafe seeks to reassure young drivers
A new initiative is set to target safety on the roads, particularly among young drivers.
The scheme - begun by RoadSafe and called the World Road Safety Network - is an attempt to crack down on the 1.2 million fatalities on the road each year, underlining the importance of adequate car insurance and a sensible approach to motoring.
The day will form part of the World Health Organisation-backed World Health Day, with events taking place around the world.
RoSPA, FIA Foundation, The World Bank, TRL and The Police Staff College (Centrex) are all behind the scheme.
