Rooney joins the ranks of young drivers
England striker Wayne Rooney has joined the ranks of Britain 's motorists, adding to the wealth of young drivers on the road.
Rooney has secured his car insurance, purchased a new car and now passed his test, including an advanced driver-training course today in his Ford Sportka.
The Manchester United starlet said he wanted to make sure hew as safe on the road and maximised the education available to him.
"This course is a really good idea, when I passed my test I just wanted to get out onto the roads and enjoy it. This teaches you that there is still a lot to learn and prepares you for it," he said.
The advanced driver course is specifically designed to enhance the safety of new drivers, particularly among young drivers.
